Buddy Reading

Every Wednesday Room 2 and Room 14 meet for Buddy Reading.  Room 14 are our Buddy Class so we are getting to know them.  When they come to Room 2 they read us a story and we read our reading book to them!

Creating on the computer.

Room 2 goes to the computer suite every Tuesday.  We really look forward it.  Today we used Microsoft Word and we learnt how to insert shapes, move them around and colour them. We also learnt how to insert clipart and move it to where we wanted it to be. We can make shapes and clipart bigger and smaller and we can turn it round in circles.

We are going on a Rock Pool trip next week so we made a rock pool scene.  

Our page is landscape and we added rocks, sea, sky, and then whatever we wanted! Can you see what else we added?

Bradlee's thinglink.

Mrs Scott made a Thinglink for the photo of Bradlee's hippo and lion.  We are learning about Thinglink.  It is fun to write about what you did on the photo.  If you move the mouse over the picture you will find spots to click on.  Do you like the baby hippo?

Wrap Free Wednesday

Every Wednesday Vardon School tries to be Wrap Free. We try not to have any plastic wrap or wrappers. We can have reusable plastic bags and yoghurt containers. Some parents have found different lunch boxes and containers that make it easier to be wrap free.

KC kids like learning at home!

Two of the KC kids in Room 2 shared some work that they did at home.
Jasmine drew a series of fantails and Molly wrote about friends. 
KC kids like to think and KC kids practise using language, symbols and text. (That means they do reading, writing, mathematics and talk!)  It is great to have children choosing to practise at home. Well done!
